An island camp is probably the cheapest kind of holiday you can think of.
The rates in 2009 are DKK 145 (app. €20) per day including food and accommodation. If you are under 25 the rate will be DKK 105 (app. €14). You need only to pay extra for the transportation to Omø and your consumption of beer, wine, soft drinks and of course what you may spend outside the camp.
Call one of the contact persons about how and when to register - if you are not able to book a full week at the "BilletNET" ordering page or if you plan to stay only part of the week. (You can only buy tickets for the full week)
Online tickets can be bought and printed by yourself at the "BilletNET.dk" ticket site. The ticket for the gaycamp week is named "Omø uge 32". If the ticket page is non-english, use the "English" tab at the top-right corner.

The ferry Stigsnæs - Omø:
The
trip takes about 45 minutes. The fare is (return excl. the discount) DKK 80 (app. €11).
If you inform the ticket collector on the ferry that you are going to the island
camp, you may get a discount on your ticket. Show him your registration ticket
if you have one. If you take the 1 pm ferry from Stigsnæs on Saturday, you can
have your luggage taken to the campsite by tractor (the camp is situated at
quite a distance from the harbour). If you arrive later call the camp on 58
19 91 63 to get an appointment about transport to the camp If you want to bring
your car to the island, it is wise to make a reservation in advance. The rate for a car below 6m in length is DKK 200 (app. €27).

Public transportation from Copenhagen:
Take the train to Slagelse. Bus no. 87 goes to Skælskør where you change to
bus no. 959 (schedules are normally connected). Bus no. 959 goes all the way
to the ferry at Stigsnæs (there are also other routes from Copenhagen).
